Turn It Off
Hey Salty Lady

Off. Now.
Thew news and social media only tell you what you already know—our lost and fallen world needs Jesus.
But the confirming cacophony offers no hope. It won’t be found there, friend. Fruitless trees.
Just turn it all off.
Choose to spend your day inquiring of Him.
Choose to meditate on His Word.
Ask Him where your gaze should be.
We don’t have time for being distracted or annoyed. We need to get to a lowly and holy posture quickly.
Wisdom will not be found in worldly men.
Holiness will not be found in the ways of the heretic and heathen.
Peace will not be found in Godless orders or guarantees.
Our God operates outside and above the chaos, confusion, and constant cycle of agitation we are in.
Go to Him. Go to His courts.
Any relief will be directly tied to how quickly and deeply the Church dives into prayer and how quickly we find ourselves face down before our Savior.
Tomorrow will require a boldness, clarity, and faith that won’t be found apart from sacrificial truth speaking, Christ following, and spirit-led-living.
Look around you. Streets are filled with passionate people. But passion without wisdom or purpose is foolishness. Dangerous even.
We need His eyes to see rightly.
We need His help. When Jesus said, “It is for your good that I will go away…so the Advocate will come…” He knew.
Hey Salty Lady and Lad—Jesus was aware of our current state even then. We are not beyond the reach of that promised benefit. We are living in the days that require it. We are living in the days for which the promise of the Holy Spirit was given.
Walk in it. Get quiet.
No news cycle or information offers this Hope. The hope of salvation, rescue, help, wisdom, peace and strength? You won’t find that on Twitter. Or Threads.
